Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TeeBall Playbook ("the app," "we," "us"), provided by Aaron Kightlinger, handles information. TeeBall Playbook is a practice-planning tool for volunteer coaches. You do not create an account to use it, and it is built to keep your information on your device wherever possible.

This is a plain-language summary and the policy itself. It is a good-faith draft; please have it reviewed for your specific situation before publishing.

The short version

No account, no login. The app works without you signing up.
Most of your data never leaves your phone — your practice plans, schedule, the drill library, your settings, and any photos you add are stored locally on your device.
We only send data off your device when you use an AI feature ("Suggest a Plan" or "Analyze my plan"), and even then we send no name, email, or account — just an anonymous device code and the practice details needed to build the suggestion.
No ads. No third-party advertising or tracking.

Information stored on your device

The following stay on your device and are not uploaded to us:

Practice plans you create or save.
Your practice schedule (the dates and times you plan practices).
The drill library and your view/browse activity.
App settings and preferences.
Any drill photos you choose to add (kept in the app's local storage).

Deleting the app removes this local data.

Information sent when you use AI features

TeeBall Playbook offers optional AI helpers — "Suggest a Plan" and "Analyze my plan." When (and only when) you tap one, the app sends the following to our server (hosted on Supabase) and to our AI provider (Anthropic, which runs the Claude model that generates the response):

A random device identifier — a randomly generated code stored on your device. It is not your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID, and it is used only to power the feature and to enforce a fair daily usage limit.
The practice details you're working with: the age band, practice length, focus areas, the list of drills (the catalog), and — for "Analyze my plan" — the plan you're analyzing.

We use this information solely to generate your plan or analysis and to rate-limit requests (to prevent abuse of the service). We do not use it to identify you or to build a profile.

The random device identifier and the date are stored on our server to count daily usage; these counters are short-lived and are not linked to your identity.

Purchases

TeeBall Playbook is currently free and has no in-app purchases, so we collect no purchase or payment information. If a paid upgrade is offered in a future version, purchases will be processed by Apple through the App Store; we would never see or store your payment card or Apple account details.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app uses local notifications on your device (for the practice timer). No notification data is sent to us or any server.

Children's privacy

TeeBall Playbook is a tool for coaches (adults). It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It does not ask for or store information about individual players.

How we share information

We do not sell your information. The limited data described above is shared only with the service providers that make the AI features work (Supabase, which hosts our server, and Anthropic, which runs the Claude model), and only for those purposes. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

You can use the entire core app (build and run practices) without ever using the AI features, meaning no data leaves your device.
Deleting the app removes locally stored data.
You can manage notification permission in your device settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Effective date" above and, for significant changes, note them in the app or store listing.
